chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) (chronic idiopathic urticaria [CIU])

Initial criteria

  • Patient has had more than 6 weeks of hives and itching.
  • If currently treated with medications known to cause or worsen urticaria, they must be discontinued or ruled out.
