Staphylococcus aureus bloodstream infections (bacteremia) in pediatric patients age 1 to 17 years
Initial criteria
- Patient age is between 1 and 17 years
- Used for treatment of Staphylococcus aureus bloodstream infections (bacteremia)
- Use only to treat or prevent infections proven or strongly suspected to be caused by susceptible bacteria
- Appropriate specimens for microbiological examination obtained
- Cubicin RF, Daptomycin for Injection, and Dapzura RT are not indicated for pneumonia or left-sided infective endocarditis due to S. aureus
- Not to be used in pediatric patients younger than 1 year of age
