Acute bacterial skin and skin structure infections (ABSSSI) in adult patients

Initial criteria

  • Used for treatment of acute bacterial skin and skin structure infections caused by susceptible isolates of Gram-positive microorganisms (Staphylococcus aureus including MRSA and MSSA, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococcus dysgalactiae, Streptococcus anginosus group, Enterococcus faecalis vancomycin-susceptible isolates)
  • Use only to treat or prevent infections proven or strongly suspected to be caused by susceptible bacteria
