Septicemia due to susceptible isolates of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and coagulase-negative staphylococci

Initial criteria

  • Indicated in adults and pediatric patients (neonates and older)
  • Use only to treat infections proven or strongly suspected to be caused by susceptible bacteria
  • Consider culture and susceptibility information when available; local epidemiology and susceptibility patterns may guide empiric selection
