Infective endocarditis due to susceptible isolates of MRSA, viridans group streptococci, Streptococcus gallolyticus, Enterococcus species and Corynebacterium species; for enterococcal endocarditis, use in combination with an aminoglycoside

Initial criteria

  • Used only to treat or prevent infections proven or strongly suspected to be caused by susceptible bacteria
  • Appropriate specimen cultures obtained to determine susceptibility
