Initial criteria
- Patient has geographic atrophy secondary to age-related macular degeneration
- Patient meets ONE of the following: (a) best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) of 24 letters or better on ETDRS charts OR (b) BCVA of 20/320 or better on a Snellen chart
- Medication is administered by or under the supervision of an ophthalmologist
