Initial criteria

• Diagnosis of idiopathic short stature
• Other causes of short stature excluded (e.g., skeletal dysplasia, genetic conditions, rapid or precocious puberty, chronic diseases)
• Growth charts show velocity deceleration; documentation of percentile/SD scores; calculated growth velocity
• Open epiphyses within last 12 months
